COMPUTER LAB RULES
1.) FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF YOUR TEACHER,  AND ANY OTHER ADULT INVOLVED WITH THE CLASS!
2.) Take home the Technology Agreement, review it, sign it, and have your parent(s) and/ or guardian(s) sign it. Return it to school no later than September 5, 2007.
3.) Quiet is a necessity to the computer environment: Mouth, hands, feet.
4.)
Do not intentionally break equipment.
5.) Do not deliberately surf the Internet for inappropriate material- 99 9/10% of which is blocked, anyway.
6.) Many people use the Lab in a day. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
CONSEQUENCES- GRADES K-4:
FIRST CHECK: Immediate time out of five minutes.
SECOND CHECK:
Immediate time out of ten minutes.
THIRD CHECK: Loss of computer time in LMC for that class period, sit on a chair in room while rest of class participates.
CONSEQUENCES- GRADES 5-8:
FIRST CHECK: Time out for ten minutes.
SECOND CHECK: Loss of computer time for that class (see Grades K-4).
THIRD CHECK: Loss of computer time for the next week, & whatever action the classroom teacher thinks is appropriate.

DELIBERATE HACKING OF THE FIREWALL OR OTHER SOURCES WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF COMPUTER PRIViILEGES FOR THE REST OF THE QUARTER.

DELIBERATE BREAKAGE WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF COMPUTER TIME IN THE COMPUTER LAB,  A NOTE HOME, & WHATEVER IS DEEMED APPROPRIATE BY THE PRINCIPAL.

ASSIGNED SEATS: ALL grades using the Computer Lab (K-8) are assigned a seat, based upon alphabetical last name ranking in class. Threads from the workstations (computers at the seat) are monitored via server software, & workstations  are routinely inspected for hardware damage, as well as pencil marks, attempts at cover removal, etc. All workstations are monitored for content and
We have a digital movie camera! Grades 6-8 will be working with all students to produce a movie for Catholic Schools Week. Parents may opt to have their children participate or not through the technology agreement. MORE ON THIS LATER.
